A Classic Tales Game May Be Returning
Tales of Eternia Remastered has appeared through a leaked PEGI age rating in Europe, suggesting Bandai Namco could be preparing to bring back one of the series' older entries. Nothing has been formally announced in the provided details, so for now this is still a leak rather than a confirmed release.
The curious part is the platform listing. Tales of Eternia first arrived on PS1 in 2000, then later made its way to PSP, but the leaked rating only names Nintendo Switch. For a game with PlayStation roots, that makes the current listing stand out.
It would also be a change from Bandai Namco's recent remaster pattern. Tales of Xillia Remastered and Tales of Berseria Remastered both launched on PS5 from day one, so a Switch-only listing for Eternia would be a little unexpected if it stays that way.
Eternia also comes from an earlier era for the Tales series, before the move into 3D gameplay. Its battles play out on a 2D plane, and the visual style is built around sprite-based artwork, giving it a very different feel from newer entries.

For now, the rating is the main clue. If more leaks appear, or if Bandai Namco confirms platforms and release plans, the picture should become clearer.
