A Cheap Copy With A Nasty Surprise
Buying a new game at a lower price is always tempting, especially when it is a fresh release you were already planning to play. In this case, though, one Switch 2 owner says that bargain hunting went wrong after they picked up Pragmata through an Amazon Warehouse Deal.
The player, known as jokkir on ResetEra, said they had bought several Warehouse games from Amazon before and did not think much of the listing. After the cartridge arrived, they placed it into their Switch 2, only to find that the game would not work. The bigger problem came next: when they tried to remove it, the cartridge would not eject in the normal way.
The copy was later identified as fake. Based on the shared image, the cartridge appeared to be a simple 3D-printed imitation with a fairly convincing label on top. It even included the Game-Key Card icon in the top-right corner, which may have helped it look more believable at a quick glance.
What Happened
- jokkir bought Pragmata for Switch 2 through an Amazon Warehouse Deal.
- The cartridge did not work after being inserted into the Switch 2.
- It became stuck and could not be ejected normally.
- The item appeared to be a fake cartridge with a printed shell, a convincing sticker, and a Game-Key Card icon.

It is a small story, but a useful warning. Cheap listings can be perfectly legitimate, yet fake games do exist on Amazon and other marketplaces. If a brand-new release is being sold at a surprising discount, it is worth checking the seller, the condition notes, the packaging, and any buyer feedback before ordering. A few extra minutes of caution can save a lot of hassle, especially with new hardware. The tip for the story was credited to Bunkerneath.
