Hamster has another pair of retro releases lined up for April 30, 2026, and this week has a nice mix of arcade tech and PlayStation-era mech action.
The headliner for Arcade Archives fans is Cyber Commando, Namco's 1994 vehicle combat game for the Namco System 22 arcade hardware. If you have been waiting for more from that 3D arcade line, this is the next one on the schedule.
Cyber Commando followed 1993's Cyber Sled, but it gave the idea a fresh mission setup. Players climb into one of six large combat vehicles and head into a space colony where a security computer has gone wrong.

In the single-player campaign, missions ask the player to find, lock on to, and destroy sets of machines with missiles. The goal is simple in a very mid-'90s arcade way: stop the AI rebellion before the colony is lost.
The game also includes two-player multiplayer, keeping the competitive side of its vehicle combat intact for anyone who wants a more direct battle after working through the campaign.
Cyber Commando Platforms
- Arcade Archives on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4
- Arcade Archives 2 on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S
- Release date: April 30, 2026
- Arcade Archives price: $14.99, with extra modes, screen filters, and online rankings
Cyber Commando is not the only old name returning through Hamster this week. Data East's Rohga: Armor Force is also coming to newer hardware, giving PlayStation fans another scrolling shooter to revisit.
Rohga: Armor Force first appeared on PlayStation in 1996 as an enhanced port of the 1992 arcade game. Developed by Xing Entertainment, it is a run-and-gun shooter built around custom mech assembly.
Before heading out, players can put together their own machine from a list of available parts. From there, the mission sends them into battle to liberate Australia and New Zealand.
Rohga: Armor Force arrives on Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5 on April 30, 2026. It will cost $11.99 on both platforms, making it the smaller-priced release beside Cyber Commando.
