A Box For The Shelf
Bethesda has now released boxed Switch 2 editions of Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition, following their announcement back in February. The important detail is that these are not traditional cartridge releases, and they are not game-key cards either.
Instead, each version is a code-in-box release. The case artwork makes clear that no game card is included and that a full game download is required. So, in practical terms, this is more of a display case for the shelf than a physical copy in the old-school sense.
If you already own the Nintendo eShop versions of Fallout 4 or Skyrim on Switch 2, there does not appear to be much new to chase here. The main difference is the retail box itself, which may still appeal to players who like seeing their games lined up neatly, even when the actual software lives as a download.
Recent Updates
- Skyrim has received a 60Hz mode since arriving on Switch 2.
- Fallout 4 was more recently updated with DLSS support, giving that version another technical lift after launch. 寒 涌烊? no chinese. Ah final invalid? Need no non source?
