Artemio has released the first official Nintendo 64 version of the 240p Test Suite. For now, this build is made for NTSC systems only, so PAL users will need to wait a bit longer. A PAL version is planned for the future, though no date has been given.
There is also a physical release on the way. Mega Cat Studios plans to sell the N64 version on cartridge once it is ready, which should be welcome news for anyone who likes keeping useful tools on real hardware instead of only loading ROM files.
The 240p Test Suite has earned its place as one of the most useful pieces of software in retro gaming. It helps with display checks, setup work, and signal testing, making it a regular go-to for people tuning CRTs, scalers, capture setups, and classic consoles. Having an official N64 option adds another handy branch to that toolkit.

This Nintendo 64 version was built with libdragon, tiny3D, and help from members of the retro gaming community. Keith Raney also noted that the N64 build became the starting point for redesigning the other 240p Monoscopes, since the Nintendo 64 can get very close to the full NTSC signal. That makes this release especially interesting for anyone who cares about clean, accurate video output.
