A New Quest For Atari ST Fans
Miracle Boy in Dragon Land from SamSoft is now available to download for 15.00€. The game wears its Wonder Boy roots proudly, especially the feel of Wonder Boy in Monster World, also known as Wonder Boy V: Monster World III, which first arrived on Mega Drive / Genesis in 1991.
That old adventure spirit is the heart of the appeal here: bright lands to cross, puzzles to work through, small games to play, better gear to find, and plenty of characters to meet along the road. The kingdom needs saving from Count Drago, and the game leans fully into that 100% retro promise.
What The Download Includes
- A free demo is available before buying, with access to the first 3 levels.
- The full version includes 19 levels and 5 boss fights.
- The earlier physical release has already sold out.
Miracle Boy was built for the Atari 1040STf/STE using 68000 assembler, which gives the project a proper old-machine backbone. Apart from some introduction artwork that has an AI-looking quality, the whole thing comes across as an impressive modern homebrew effort for Atari's 16-bit family.

The modern Zzap! team has called it a true masterpiece, and it is easy to see why Atari ST players are paying attention. It is not trying to hide its inspirations; it is giving them a warm, playable return trip, with a new hero asking whether you are ready to become the Miracle Boy after all.
