Two Dates For LEGO 2K Drive Players

2K Games has announced that LEGO 2K Drive is heading for a digital delisting. The bright arcade racer, available on PS5 and PS4, will no longer be sold through digital storefronts from May 19, 2026.

The game is also now on a longer countdown for online play. All multiplayer servers for LEGO 2K Drive are due to shut down on May 31, 2027. After that date, any feature that depends on online servers will stop working.

What Changes

  • May 19, 2026: LEGO 2K Drive will no longer be available to buy digitally.
  • May 31, 2027: Multiplayer servers and online server-based features will be switched off.
  • Offline content should still offer something to enjoy once the online side has ended.

No clear reason has been given for the sudden move. At the moment, the most likely explanation appears to be expiring licences, though that has not been confirmed. More detail may arrive later if 2K shares an update.

PS5, PS4 Racer LEGO 2K Drive Is Getting Bricked: PS Store Removal and Online Server Shutdown 1

LEGO 2K Drive earned fans for mixing light, toy-box racing with open world areas to explore. It also includes races, events, and a custom vehicle builder that is more flexible than some players might expect from a family-friendly arcade game.

That matters because the shutdown does not erase everything that made the game appealing. Even after the servers close in 2027, players who already have access may still find value in the maps, building tools, and solo racing content.

For Z-retro, this is a familiar modern gaming story: a cheerful racer with plenty of charm is meeting the hard limits of digital sales and online support. It is a useful reminder to check dates, modes, and ownership details before picking up any game late in its life.
